There was a time I would try to beat the total time for my commute. I had to quit because I was highly motivated to run red lights if I didn't see any cross traffic. This is my solution to this problem. A traffic light just means I can catch my breath and do better on the next segments. I'm going to end up hoping to hit a few red lights.
